MULTIPLEXERS

 
Microwave Radio Link

23GHz microwave radios are available with data rates from a few hundred baud, through T1/E1, to Ethernet, ATM and T3.  We have also just introduced a new system which has a 155-Mbit STM-1 capacity.  Other models are capable of full-motion video with data and audio sub-channels. Microwave radios have ranges of up to 30Km or more and are significantly cheaper and easier to install than fibre systems of similar capacities.

 
PAV  Laser Link

Laser data and video links can transmit and receive data (and/or video) at similar rates to microwave radios.  Although the range is more limited (up to 6km),  Infra-red laser has the advantage of not needing the licensing procedures that are required for radio links.

 
Data Multiplexer

Where it is required to carry a number of lower-bandwidth channels over a T1 (1.54MBps) or E1 (2.04MBps) data link  -  microwave, laser,  fibre or conventional copper  -  we can provide multiplexing equipment (“channel banks”) with a wide selection of channel cards to give the maximum flexibility to our system designers, as well as high bandwidth utilisation and reliability.  Individual channels can be voice, data, compressed video, or a combination of these.
